From the Outside

From the outside, pain flows in.

Hurt from those that refuse to believe in me.

Pain from those that curse my name.

Yet none see the dream

Looking on from the outside

None know the struggle, gazing from afar.

Unaware of the pain

Within the tears, dreams are seen

My Voice

Lord please give me a voice allow it to be able to reach the hearts and minds of not only my people but all people. We show that people are hurting African-Americans are hurting from years and years of being miss treated. For far too long I voices have fallen upon deaf ears. If it wasn’t for the modern age of video our stories will still remain in the dark.
People are crying about losing rioters and other lawlessness. But I ask of you How many of you have cried when we have cried when I loveless lost their lives due to crooked cops being given unfair wages. Governments use eminent domain to take away family homes? How many of you have shit to use for this? How many of you knows what it feels like to go to bed hungry because you can’t afford to feed yourself?
The other side speaks on education as being the key to the future. It is proven by statistics most African-Americans will never see college due to cost. Most African-Americans will not see a trade school because of cost. Here we are moving forward in a system that holds us back. How can one sexy when being held back.
Our very history have been hidden from us. Because America does not want it sins to be revealed. Blacks hanging from trees, The original second class citizen, Our cities were burned with the blessings of our government. And yet we are told say the Pledge of Allegiance. Fight wars that don’t benefit us that doesn’t bring about change for us.

My Dream

My dreams are simple, noble and yet true.
To be seen without judgement.
No more locking of car doors as I cross the street.
To be handed the bill when the meal is complete.
Not to be assumed guilty by the police.
To be looked upon as an equal.
My dream is to be treated fair.
Treated like my skin color doesn’t make a difference.
To be shown the kindness of being human
My dream

Missing Things

Words never spoken
Words never said
Fills the mind with wonder
Holding places for pain

Memories

Memories

As paint fades,
So does memories
Time cannot be held
Sand fallls through the hour glass
Washed upon the shore,
Only th be taken by the same currents
Pictures fade
Once young,
Destined to be old
Memories made,
In time they fade

aForgotten Moments

Like fruit
upon tree branches
Like a caged bird
my songs are bitter sweet
Like the forgotten
my name is lost
Pages are destroyed from my book
the times have changed
The evils only taken new forms
   Like waters
I flow
over dams. down streams
like my tears
flowing down my face
  My body hurts
I've been beaten like Jesus
saying father. forgive them
  Time has forgotten
but the nightmares still exist
last in line
and still pushed aside
   Who knows my tears
cry with me
let us comfort each other
mending these wounds
time has forgot
